# The bottleneck is your judgment. > Agents can produce more work than you can review. Bonan Kou · Oct 1, 2026 If you run agents on recurring work, you know this morning. They ran overnight. There are forty drafts, a table of leads, a report, and three things that need a yes before they go out. All of it looks plausible. Some of it is wrong. You have twenty minutes. Nothing on the agent side is short. Give them more work and they do more work. What is short is you: how much of it you can look at, and judge correctly, before your attention runs out. I think this is the real limit on what agents can do for a person. Once the agents can do the work, the bottleneck moves to the person reviewing it. An agent’s output counts for nothing until someone accountable says yes to it. > The ceiling on the whole system is how many correct decisions one person can make in a minute. Cube exists to raise that ceiling. I call it bandwidth: how much of the machines’ work can pass through one person’s judgment and come out right. ## Faster is not the goal. There is a cheap way to raise it. Put a big “approve all” at the top and let people press it without reading. It looks like speed. It is the failure mode. An approval you did not read is not a check. It only moves the blame onto you. And it gets worse with time, because a system that learns from your decisions also learns from the careless ones. Sign the same mistake a few times and it becomes how the work is done. So what I count is decisions that were right, not decisions that were made. If you approve faster and take more of it back later, nothing got better. The point is to get more work right with the attention you have. ## Talk and sign. In Cube you do two things. You talk, and you sign. Talking is how you say what you want, and how you reshape what is in front of you. Signing is a yes or a no on finished work. The agents do the rest, including carrying out what you just approved. You never approve something and then go do it by hand somewhere else. Everything that needs you is in one list. There is no inbox per agent and no dashboard per tool. Each line is work that is done and waiting for your yes or no, with what you need to judge it right beside it. And one sentence can settle a whole stack. “Keep these three, drop the rest.” “From now on, don’t ask me about this kind.” The first sentence makes twenty decisions. The second tells Cube which decisions you want it to stop bringing back. ## Water becomes ice. That second sentence is the part I care about most. Most of what you decide, you decide the same way every time. The first time an agent asks, it learns something. The second time it asks the same thing, it is wasting your minute. An agent is water. It can take any shape, but it is slow, it costs money, and it comes out a little different on every run. A program is ice. It does one thing, the same way each time, fast, for almost nothing. When you have decided something the same way enough times, Cube offers to freeze it into a program. You sign that too. From then on that part of the work runs without asking you. Say you keep rejecting leads outside your market. Cube proposes a rule, and shows you how it would have handled the leads you already reviewed. You sign it. Leads that match it stop coming to you. So the work gets steadier, faster and cheaper the longer it runs, and the stack you sign gets thinner. What stays in your list is what needs you: the new case, the odd case, the one the rule does not fit. Ice can melt, too. When a rule stops fitting, it turns back into a question. ## What stays scarce. Models keep getting cheaper. So do agents. I use whichever is best and expect to swap it. Your judgment does not get cheaper. Nobody else has it, and no model release will ship it. It is the one part of your work that is yours alone, and today most of it goes to answering questions you have already answered. You decide what can run on its own and what still needs you. Cube’s job is to remember that line, and to bring the work back when a rule stops fitting. Cube is not open yet.
